CTE Credit Agreements
What's a postsecondary credit agreement?
A postsecondary credit agreement means a formal agreement, such as an articulation agreement, among and between secondary and postsecondary education institutions or systems that grant students transcripted postsecondary credit, which may include credit granted to students in dual or concurrent enrollment programs or early college high school, dual credit, articulated credit, and credit granted on the basis of performance on technical or academic assessments per Perkins V legislation (Michigan.gov, 2024).
These credit agreements aim to reduce remediation and duplication of classwork to ensure a smooth transfer of credits to colleges post high school education.
What programs offer credit agreements?
All Sault Area Career Center programs have credit agreements associated with the course whether they are state-wide or locally based credit agreements. We welcome any conversation with postsecondary institutions who are hoping to set up credit agreements with Sault Area Career Center.
