In our dedicated classroom lab and out in the community through work-based learning and clinical experiences, students practice essential skills that healthcare professionals use every day. You'll master CPR and First Aid (yes, you'll earn certifications!), practice taking vital signs, understand medical equipment, and work through realistic patient scenarios.

Throughout the program, the focus is on building both knowledge and confidence. Students have the chance to:

  • Gain essential hands-on training and earn foundational certifications like CPR, First Aid, OSHA, and HIPAA.
  • Prepare for roles/certifications: 
    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
    • Patient Care Technician (PCT)
    • Medical Assistant (MA), and more
  • Gain potential college credits through articulation agreements with LSSU, BMCC, and others before graduating high school!
  • Join our HOSA - Future Health Professionals chapter to build leadership skills, compete, and connect.
  • Fulfill math or science credits for graduation.
