Are you passionate about a future in healthcare? HOSA is the premier student organization for exploring the vast world of health careers – from clinical practice to biomedical research. HOSA is 100% healthcare!  Eligibility is open to students currently enrolled in Health Science courses here at our school.

Members actively develop not only technical skills relevant to the field but also crucial leadership qualities, communication, and teamwork abilities essential for success. Participate in engaging workshops, community service projects, and test your knowledge through exciting competitive events at regional, state, and potentially national levels. Growing steadily since its founding in 1976, HOSA now serves over 300,000 members nationally, with Michigan HOSA comprising over 8,000 dedicated students statewide.

Beyond this, HOSA provides a structured framework that significantly enhances a student's readiness for the rigors of post-secondary health science education and careers. The program cultivates professionalism, critical thinking, and ethical responsibility alongside technical expertise, while providing crucial networking opportunities with peers, educators, and industry leaders. This comprehensive development goes beyond traditional classroom learning. As a nationally recognized Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and integrated with health science curriculum, participation in HOSA demonstrates initiative and provides students with verifiable accomplishments and a distinct competitive advantage when applying for selective academic programs and future employment in the vital healthcare sector.
