IMPORTANT MATH INFO FOR PARENTS!
I need your helpto help your student be successful. Here is a short list of things
you can do to help, even if you don’t remember any math.
1. Talk to your student about what they are
studying. If they can tell you about it,they understand it.
2. Talk to me! If you have questions, I can help.
3. I give homework ALL THE TIME – ask your student to show you,
even if they say it’s already done.
NO ONE IS BORN A MATHEMATICIAN-
IT TAKES PRACTICE!
Even if you have always been bad at math, you can get better all you have to do is try.
A calculator is a big help, your student can get a great one for $8.00 at Wal-Mart.
(phones don’t always have all the buttons we need)
Look for everyday uses for math-and share those with your student.
