Welcome to United States History & Geography! I am excited to have you in class this year!

In this course, we will cover the United States from roughly the 1870s to present day, focusing not only on history but the changing physical & human geography of the country.

Below is a rough estimate of what will be covered during each marking period. At the end of each marking period, students will be tasked with a quarterly exam to assess their mastery of content and skills.

1st Marking Period: Unit 1 - The Gilded Age, Unit 2 - The Progressive Era
2nd Marking Period: Unit 3 - America as a World Power, Unit 4 - The Interwar Years
3rd Marking Period: Unit 5 - World War II, Unit 6 - Early Cold War
4th Marking Period: Unit 7 - Civil Rights, Unit 8 - Growing Turmoil at Home & Abroad, Unit 9 - America in the Modern Global Age
