Our Mission: The Spanish Club proposes to promote awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the people and diverse cultural productions of the Spanish-speaking world. It also proposes to contribute and encourage the study and appreciation of the Spanish language. Finally, it proposes to foster friendly relations with other SAHS clubs and organizations, as well as the community, and to work with them to better understand diversity through cultural awareness. We will accomplish this by doing the following:
Experiencing food from Spanish-speaking countries through local restaurants and events
Engaging in some of the celebrations and holidays of those countries
Going to cultural events
Watching foreign films or films about Hispanic cultures
Listening to and learning about the many different types of music and dances
Visiting ethnic/international food stores
Making international dishes
Participating in other activities as suggested by the members
Meeting times and dates to be determined and announced via email, school announcements and/or the Mejor que nada’s Google classroom page.
All interested students are invited to attend whether they are enrolled in a Spanish class or not.
